Description

The 8-16S 48V 300A LiFePO4 BMS is a production-grade battery management system designed for lithium-ion battery packs with 8 to 16 cells in series, with native hardware compatibility for both 15S and 16S configurations. Switching between string counts requires only sampling harness adjustment and parameter setup via the host software, with no hardware modification needed.

Engineered for lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) chemistries, this BMS delivers precision voltage and current monitoring, multi-layer safety protection, and accurate state of charge (SOC) and state of health (SOH) calculation. It meets the functional safety requirements of IEC 62619 and UL 1973 standards, and is suited for stationary energy storage, uninterruptible backup power and telecom power supply deployments.

The split-board architecture allows separate mounting of the indicator module, dial switch and communication port, giving pack designers flexible layout options for various cabinet and enclosure form factors.

Precautions

The battery management system must not be used in series.

The withstand voltage of the BMS power components is 100 V.

If the cell module is assembled with long wires and long busbars, the BMS manufacturer must be consulted for impedance compensation. Failure to do so may affect cell consistency.

Do not connect other devices to the external switch on the BMS. If such connection is required, confirm with the technical contact first. Otherwise, the manufacturer assumes no liability for any damage to the BMS.

During assembly, do not allow the protection board to make direct contact with the cell surface, as this may damage the cells. The assembly must be secure and reliable.

During use, prevent lead wires, soldering iron tips, solder, and other items from touching the components on the circuit board, as this may damage the board.

During use, take precautions against electrostatic discharge (ESD), moisture, and water.

During use, observe the design parameters and operating conditions. Do not exceed the values stated in this specification, otherwise the protection board may be damaged.

After assembling the battery pack and the protection board, if there is no voltage output or the battery cannot be charged at initial power-on, check whether the wiring is correct.
