We have a customer from the UK who is interested in cylindrical cells. The customer purchased BYD 4680 3.2 V 15 Ah LiFePO4 cells, 3.0 V 10 Ah 32140 sodium-ion cells, and 3.6 V 15 Ah 33140 LMFP cells for a test project, 10 units of each model.
The characteristics of these three cells are as follows:
Safety: Exceptional thermal stability and very low thermal runaway risk.
Ultra-long life: 2,000–6,000 cycles, well suited for EVs and energy storage.
Limits: Lower energy density (~160 Wh/kg) and poor cold-weather performance.
Best for: EVs, grid storage, and commercial vehicles.
Winter performance: Retains >80% capacity at -20°C in some cases.
Fast-charging potential: Relatively high ionic conductivity.
Limits: Lower energy density (~160 Wh/kg max).
Best for: Low-speed EVs, energy storage, and backup power.
Higher energy density: 15–20% higher than LFP (180–220 Wh/kg).
Retains LFP-like safety: Stable olivine structure and low fire risk.
Limits: Slightly shorter lifespan (2,000–3,000 cycles).
Best for: Electric motorcycles, golf carts, three-wheelers, and four-wheeled vehicles.
Regarding shipping, we pack 30 cells in one box and ship them to the customer via UPS. It takes only 7–10 days for the customer to receive the samples.
