Hangzhou, China – July 1, 2025 – The fourth annual Gaogong Energy Storage Summit (GESS) commenced grandly in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. Chen Xiang, Senior Vice President of EVE Lithium Energy and President of EVE Energy Storage, attended the event as a keynote speaker. In his address titled "Innovative Development: Co-Creation and Shared Growth," he systematically elaborated on EVE's technological breakthroughs, strategic roadmap, and vision for high-quality industry advancement in the energy storage sector.
According to forecasts by Gaogong Industry Institute (GGII), global energy storage installations in 2025 will maintain steady growth, though shifting market drivers may introduce regional uncertainties. The industry—defined by policy direction, commercial returns, technological innovation, and safety enhancement—is undergoing seismic changes. A sector-wide transformation centered on "market-driven value chain restructuring" is imminent, accelerating the transition from chaotic expansion to rational restructuring.
Addressing this complex landscape, Chen Xiang emphasized EVE's commitment to delivering high-value, innovative storage products and full-scenario solutions. "We enable value leapfrogging from products to applications, driving market-oriented deployment and sustainable industry growth," he stated.
As a pioneer in large-capacity cell technology, EVE leveraged four decades of electrochemistry expertise to launch its industry-benchmark 628Ah ultra-large capacity cell (Mr.Big) and 5MWh energy storage system (Mr.Giant). These products exemplify how mega-cell technology enhances system safety and economics while addressing core market demands.
Supported by its 60GWh mega-factory—the world's largest standalone energy storage production facility—EVE achieved a quantum leap in capacity and delivery capabilities. On June 18, the 300,000th Mr.Big cell rolled off the production line, marking the series’ full-scale commercialization. In 2025, these solutions will power 100MWh-level projects worldwide, elevating EVE's value chain positioning and maximizing customer value across design, manufacturing, and supply processes.
To navigate technological shifts and ensure product excellence, EVE has advanced its digital transformation, achieving Digitalization 2.0. The company established an end-to-end digital framework spanning production, manufacturing, operations, and testing.
Innovations include cell/system digital delivery packages and a "battery passport" system enabling full lifecycle management. These enhancements boost product reliability and safety while providing customers with deeper, real-time insights into EVE's quality and service value.
EVE is expanding its international footprint through a "Global Manufacturing, Global Collaboration, Global Service" model. Facilities in Hungary, Malaysia (with Phase II launching in 2026), and the U.S. are under rapid construction, strengthening localized supply chains and empowering global partners.
"Guided by our mission—‘Enabling innovation to empower a better life’—we’ll continue leveraging technology to energize the industry," Chen concluded. "Together with our partners, we’ll pioneer the energy transition journey through co-creation and shared growth."
