One of our new customers from the USA purchased 92 pieces of Sinopoly 3.2V 40Ah SP-LFP-40AHA(A) cells to replace a Plug-in Prius conversion battery pack. The customer had previously used CALB 40Ah SE40AHA cells, but this model was discontinued many years ago, so we recommended the Sinopoly 40Ah cell as a replacement because it is similar in size to the original cell. In this way, the customer did not need to redesign the battery system and only needed to replace the cells in the existing battery pack.
This 3.2V 40Ah battery is a power cell manufactured by Sinopoly with a maximum discharge rate of 3C (120A), and it is widely used in EV projects. The cells have very good consistency, and we tested them before shipment.
Regarding the shipment, the 92 batteries were packed in 3 plywood cases with a total gross weight of 166 kg.
The customer wanted us to provide door-to-door delivery service. In order to ensure the safety of the shipment, we suggested that the customer choose a transportation solution combining sea freight and truck delivery, which could be shipped in plywood cases and greatly reduce the possibility of the batteries being damaged in transit. Specifically, the batteries were shipped by sea from Hong Kong to the US, and then the freight forwarder arranged a local truck to deliver them to the customer's address. The whole process took about 50 days in total.
