At Intersolar Europe 2026, Ampace presented two new lithium-ion energy storage solutions under its “Meet All, Green More” banner. The UniC AG440 is a commercial and industrial system developed in partnership with CATL, while the PR-S3 Elite targets the residential sector.
The UniC AG440 combines CATL’s lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cell technology with Ampace’s expertise in distributed energy. Each node can connect up to 45 units to supply nearly 20 MWh of capacity—delivering 50 percent higher energy density compared to conventional 200 kWh systems and requiring half the installation space. The system meets UL9540A, IEC 62619, IEC 62477, and ISO 13849 PLd standards, and operates dependably in temperatures as low as –25 °C without the need for auxiliary heating.
Dr. Qingfeng Yuan, Chief Technology Officer of Ampace, said the new offerings are designed to help enterprises and households create resilient, sustainable energy setups. Xu Jinmei, CTO of CATL’s Energy Storage System Division, added that the UniC AG440 is a purpose-engineered solution for Europe and reflects the partners’ shared focus on renewable integration and sustainability targets.
The PR-S3 Elite residential system incorporates FrostCore Technology to preserve normal charge and discharge behavior in temperatures down to –20 °C. It is engineered for a 15,000-cycle lifespan and promises zero capacity degradation in the first three years, reducing total cost of ownership while ensuring reliable performance in cold environments.
As part of its environmental efforts, Ampace has recently reached operational carbon neutrality in accordance with ISO 14068-1:2023, verified by TÜV SÜD. Its manufacturing sites run entirely on zero-carbon electricity from large-scale solar generation and storage. The company also received a Silver Medal from EcoVadis, ranking in the top 10 percent of evaluated organizations for sustainability performance, and joined the United Nations Global Compact to further underline its commitment to responsible growth and climate action.
