KUALA LUMPUR, October 7, 2026 — At IGEM 2026, the International GreenTech & Eco Products Exhibition & Conference Malaysia, CORNEX displayed its complete energy storage portfolio and cylindrical battery range at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The company also formed a strategic partnership with Malaysia’s NCL Energy, a move that strengthens its position in Southeast Asia’s growing green energy market.
Malaysia’s tropical conditions—characterized by persistent heat and humidity—place stringent demands on energy storage systems in terms of safety, durability, and cycle life. CORNEX’s exhibition addressed these market requirements. On the battery side, it exhibited 100Ah, 314Ah, and 588Ah energy storage cells, alongside the M5 and M6 battery energy storage containers. With safety and long cycle life as core design priorities, these offerings are intended to perform in harsh climates and deliver dependable support for utility-scale plants, residential storage, and renewable energy integration. For Malaysian manufacturers and business parks, CORNEX’s commercial and industrial storage solutions are designed around power management, helping users lower energy costs and enhance overall efficiency. In addition, the company presented 20Ah, 30Ah, and 50Ah cylindrical battery cells for e-mobility, portable energy storage, and related uses, widening its footprint in Southeast Asia’s short-range electric transport and outdoor energy storage segments.
A strategic partnership was also signed during the event between CORNEX and NCL Energy Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of TECO Electric & Machinery Co., Ltd. Under the collaboration, the two companies will combine their complementary strengths to develop large-scale energy storage, AIDC (AI data center), and renewable-plus-storage projects in Malaysia. The partnership is expected to accelerate the commercial-scale deployment of CORNEX’s advanced storage products and integrated solutions.
Malaysia is pursuing a target of 70% renewable energy by 2050, while Johor is increasingly recognized as a Southeast Asian data center hub—factors that make the country’s storage market one of the region’s most promising. Against this backdrop, CORNEX will continue to expand its presence in Malaysia and across Southeast Asia, offering high-quality products and professional services to support the region’s energy transition.
