From September 8th to 12th, EVE Energy made a notable appearance at IAA MOBILITY 2025 in Germany, showcasing innovative achievements across multiple fields including large cylindrical cells and systems, low-voltage battery systems, as well as batteries for robotics and low-altitude economy applications. The company also launched its first Battery Passport, demonstrating leading capabilities in battery R&D, smart manufacturing, and sustainable development.
The Omnicell large cylindrical battery embodies over two decades of EVE Energy’s expertise in cylindrical cell technology. It offers standardization, near-zero expansion, and high strength, supporting both efficient mass production and adaptability to diverse scenarios. Its full tab technology reduces impedance by 60%, significantly improving power output and thermal stability. A directional venting and explosion-proof design activates within 4 milliseconds and releases over 50% of heat within 5 seconds. The next-generation silicon-based anode technology boosts energy density by more than 15%. At the system level, the structural strength significantly surpasses that of prismatic batteries, with a steel shell strength of 550MPa. Combined with a 1500MPa hot-formed steel base and 3500MPa aerospace-grade glass fiber, the collision energy absorption reaches up to 1000J, achieving intrinsic safety.
Dr. Liu Jincheng, Chairman of EVE Energy, was invited to test drive the BMW New Class iX3 equipped with Omnicell large cylindrical cells. These cells enable the new iX3 to achieve a CLTC comprehensive range of over 900 km and support ultra-fast charging, adding more than 400 km in just 10 minutes, setting a new benchmark for range, charging speed, and driving experience in the new generation of electric vehicles.
In a milestone move toward transparency and trust in the battery industry chain, EVE Energy launched its first Battery Passport covering consumer, power, and energy storage applications. This provides each battery with a “digital ID,” enabling full lifecycle traceability from mineral mining, smelting, and material processing to battery production, use, and recycling.
Supported by integrated internal systems and real-time data processing, the passport dynamically discloses environmental indicators such as carbon footprint. Through trusted data spaces like Catena-X, it enables secure data exchange among suppliers, OEMs, and recyclers. The system has already facilitated over 150,000 data transactions with less than 1-second latency and a digitization rate exceeding 90%.
To date, EVE Energy has reduced carbon intensity by 42%, achieved a green electricity usage rate of 15%, and recycled thousands of tons of key metals including nickel, cobalt, and lithium.
In the field of robotics, EVE Energy exhibited a range of cell types including 18650, 21700, and 26700. The 26700 (G26Q) model offers an energy density of 310 Wh/kg. Its lightweight aluminum casing reduces weight by 5%, and the full tab structure significantly improves internal resistance and thermal performance, lowering temperature rise by 20% at the same discharge rate—providing robust power support for prolonged high-intensity robotic operations.
For eVTOL applications, EVE Energy offers an integrated aviation-grade safety solution from cell to system. The highlight product, 21700 (50PL), delivers an energy density of 270 Wh/kg, supports 15-minute fast charging, and enables 10C high-rate discharge even at 30% state of charge. With a cycle life exceeding 1000 cycles (at 80% capacity retention), it meets the demands for high safety and operational efficiency.
For electric heavy-duty trucks in cold climates, EVE’s LMX technology extends the low-temperature operating window to -20°C. This product series achieves an energy density of over 205 Wh/kg and a cycle life of more than 5000 cycles, enabling a range exceeding 500 km for electric trucks—effectively addressing the challenges of electrifying mid- to long-haul logistics.
