Our customer from Malaysia purchased 4 pcs of Winston 700 Ah battery cells and 1 pc BMS 8P300A from us.
The client was referred by an existing customer who had previously purchased lithium batteries from us.
The battery cells are intended to replace the existing lead-acid batteries on a sailboat.
Currently, there are 4 units of 200 Ah deep-cycle batteries that fit into a compartment measuring approximately 680 mm (L) × 850 mm (W) on the boat. According to the boat manual, the minimum requirement is 4 units of 140 Ah batteries. However, the power requirement on the boat is now far higher than 140 Ah × 4, as many new electrical devices have been installed.
The boat's electrical system is 12V. The original and minimum power requirement was 140 Ah × 4 = 560 Ah, but the customer thought he needed higher capacity now, as they have higher electrical consumption on the boat. Therefore, they would like to make use of the storage space for the service batteries they have on the boat, which measures approximately 680 mm (L) × 850 mm (W) × 220 mm (D).
Based on the requirements and conditions, we recommended that the customer choose Winston 700 Ah battery cells.
The battery cells and BMS were shipped door-to-door by sea, and delivery took only 23 days.
