On March 13, BYD Energy Storage won the bid for a 600,000 kW PV + 600,000 kWh energy storage system project in Fukang, Xinjiang, China.

CEC (Fukang) New Energy Co., Ltd. is located in Fukang City, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, with a total site area of about 20201 mu.
The project lithium iron phosphate energy storage system procurement scale of 150MW/600MWh, the scope of the tender for the supply of energy storage system (energy storage battery using lithium iron phosphate) required a full set of equipment, including lithium iron phosphate batteries, energy storage two-way converter (PCS), battery management system (BMS), energy management system (EMS), etc..

After the completion of the project, it will effectively enhance the peak regulation capacity of the power grid in the Fukang area of Xinjiang and greatly protect the security of the power grid, while also accumulating experience for the construction and operation of national grid-side energy storage projects and promoting the industrialization and application of energy storage technology and equipment in China; it will be of great significance to the high-quality development of the local economy, accelerate the conversion of advantageous resources and promote the adjustment of the energy structure, achieving both economic and social benefits.
