During a recent industry event in Beijing, EVE Energy announced its latest breakthroughs in large-scale battery energy storage technology. The company presented a new 6.9 MWh system, received safety validation for its 628 Ah battery modules, and finalized strategic cooperation pacts representing more than 50 GWh of capacity.
The newly launched 6.9 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) is contained within a standard 20-foot enclosure and achieves a 10% improvement in volumetric energy density relative to earlier models. At the cell level, energy density surpasses 430 Wh/L, while engineering enhancements have decreased the overall footprint by 6%, resulting in an approximate RMB 2.6 million reduction in upfront station investment. Designed for a lifespan of 10,000 cycles at 70% state of health, the system maintains temperature variation across modules below 5°C through active cell balancing and precision thermal regulation. Integrated safety mechanisms feature a comprehensive five-tier protection scheme for 1,500 V DC systems, along with an AI-powered, multi-sensor, staged fire suppression solution that delivers continuous hazard management from initial detection through active fire control.
At the event, CSA Group presented EVE Energy with certification verifying that its 628 Ah large-format battery and a 5 MWh BESS successfully completed extensive large-scale fire testing aligned with international benchmarks including CSA/ANSI C800:25, UL 9540A, and NFPA 855. Concurrently, SGS issued CB, CE, and AS certifications for EVE's 261 kWh outdoor integrated storage cabinet, as well as CB and CE certifications for its S6900 BESS, thereby facilitating the company's expansion into international markets.
Additionally, EVE Energy entered into strategic framework agreements with five prominent energy storage collaborators—Beijing Goldwind Zero Carbon Energy, Zhejiang Jinko Energy Storage, Jiangsu Linyang Energy Equipment, China Energy Construction Energy Storage Technology (Wuhan), and Shanghai Ronghe Yuan Energy Storage—totaling a combined contracted volume exceeding 50 GWh. These alliances are focused on the deployment of large-format battery cells and integrated core storage solutions.
With its latest product launch, verified safety credentials, and large-scale orders, EVE Energy reinforced its dedication to advancing high-capacity energy storage innovation and fostering partnerships across the global energy storage value chain.
