
December 12, Xiamen, China — As long-duration energy storage (LDES) takes center stage in addressing renewable intermittency and enabling round-the-clock green power, HiTHIUM successfully concluded its third Eco-Day on December 12 under the theme “The Awakening of Energy · The New World.” The event gathered leading global LDES experts, AI data center (AIDC) industry pioneers, and partners across the energy ecosystem. It also served as the global launch platform for three major innovations: the ∞Power8 6.9MW/55.2MWh 8-hour-native solution, the ∞Cell 1300Ah dedicated 8-hour LDES cell, and the ∞Power Solutions for AI Data Center—a full-duration hybrid lithium-sodium energy storage system.
In his opening address, HiTHIUM Co-founder and CEO Jason Wang emphasized that energy storage, particularly LDES, is key to transforming green power from “weather-dependent” to “stable and reliable.” To accelerate this transition, HiTHIUM formally launched the "All-Weather Green Power · 135 Lighthouse Plan." This five-year initiative, built around LDES and driven by the vision of creating an always-available green energy future, focuses on three core areas: green intelligent computing, comprehensive storage deployment, and green power hubs. The plan aims to extend the reach of LDES across sectors and make sustainable energy accessible to all.
Industry experts from around the world contributed to the dialogue. Wood Mackenzie Senior Analyst Alex Cipolla shared perspectives on global LDES trends, applications, and technology roadmaps. Zhihua Liu, Solutions Director for South China at Eaton Power Shanghai, also presented the company’s latest advances in high-voltage DC and intelligent power distribution.
As the centerpiece of Eco-Day, HiTHIUM introduced three transformative innovations:

- ∞Power Solutions for AI Data Center – the industry’s first full-duration lithium-sodium hybrid solution, combining long-duration lithium storage with high-power sodium-ion technology to achieve millisecond-level response. It meets AIDCs’ dual demands for sustained stability and instantaneous backup power.
At the AIDC roundtable moderated by HiTHIUM Board Member and Vice President Dr. Nazar Yi, experts from telecom operators, data center firms, and industry associations explored whether LDES is the “missing piece” for achieving zero-carbon AI data centers. Participants highlighted the growing tension between rising computational demands and limited energy supply, identifying lithium-based LDES as a crucial solution for enhancing stability, reducing costs, and supporting scalable AIDC growth.
The event also saw the joint release of the 2025 China AIDC Energy Storage Bluebook, co-published by HiTHIUM and leading industry organizations. The report analyzes AIDC energy consumption trends, evolving battery backup unit requirements, and the growing role of LDES in easing AIDC power constraints, offering insights from industry needs to deployment strategies.
In his closing remarks, HiTHIUM Founder and President Jeff Wu stressed that energy storage must match wind and solar not only in lifespan but also in cost. To realize this, HiTHIUM will concentrate on four key areas: developing ultra-large, high-safety, long-life cells; creating safer, more integrated, and efficient systems; advancing intelligent manufacturing; and delivering end-to-end energy storage solutions.
