EVE Energy 628Ah Energy Storage Battery Delivers Reliable Green Power to KLIA

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, January 29, 2026 — EVE Energy Co., Ltd., in collaboration with its partners, has formally secured a contract for a major solar-plus-storage initiative at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). The signing ceremony, attended by Malaysia's Deputy Prime Minister Fadillah Yusof, marks a strategic entry for EVE Energy into the nation's critical infrastructure landscape, deploying its high-capacity 628Ah battery cells and integrated 5MWh energy storage solution to advance Malaysia's green and intelligent energy transition.

The landmark 10MW/36MWh ground-mounted solar photovoltaic and battery energy storage system (BESS) project represents EVE's first integrated AC/DC energy storage deployment in Malaysia. Utilizing the company's high-energy-density 628Ah batteries within a highly optimized architecture, the system is engineered for applications including renewable energy integration, grid peak shaving, and frequency regulation. Upon its scheduled commissioning in 2027, paired with a 36MWp solar farm, it will deliver a reliable stream of green electricity to KLIA's main terminal.

"We are privileged to support a world-class aviation hub like KLIA with our robust energy storage technology," stated Oscar Chan, General Manager of International Energy Storage Sales at EVE Energy. "This project underscores our commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technical expertise and proven project execution to ensure superior performance and reliability."

As Southeast Asia's second-busiest airport, serving approximately 60 million passengers annually, KLIA's shift toward sustainable operations aligns with Malaysia's National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR) and carbon neutrality objectives. EVE Energy's safe, efficient, and large-scale storage solution is projected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by an estimated 42,006 tons per year, significantly bolstering KLIA's pursuit of its 2030 renewable energy targets and long-term net-zero vision.

Looking ahead, EVE Energy reiterates its dedication to strengthening partnerships across Southeast Asia. The company remains focused on collaborating with global stakeholders to accelerate the clean energy transition and contribute to a resilient, sustainable energy ecosystem worldwide.
