CALB Debuts UP High-Energy Aviation Batteries, Powering Trillion-Dollar Low-Altitude Economy

On November 27, at the opening of AERO Asia 2025 in Zhuhai, CALB Group Co., Ltd. made its debut at the airshow with its UP high-energy aviation battery system. The company also forged long-term strategic partnerships with Volant Aerotech and EasyFly to jointly explore the vast potential of low-altitude aviation.

CALB’s aviation batteries combine high energy density with exceptional safety, meeting stringent aviation-grade standards. With a cell energy density exceeding 360Wh/kg and a system energy density of over 270Wh/kg, the battery supports ultra-high instantaneous power discharge of more than 1500kW. It serves as the exclusive power source for the Xpeng Huitian X3-F and is also equipped on leading eVTOL models including the GAC GOVY Airjet, Volant Aerotech’s VE25-100 "SKYLAR," and the EasyFly EF7.

Partnering with Volant to Power the World’s Largest Passenger eVTOL

CALB has entered into in-depth collaboration with Volant Aerotech on the VE25-100 "SKYLAR," a premium commercial passenger eVTOL. As the world’s largest six-seat commercial passenger eVTOL by cabin space and load capacity, the model has already secured nearly 2,000 units in pre-orders. Its applications span low-altitude tourism, emergency rescue, urban commuting, and intercity travel, transforming flight from an occasional experience into a part of daily life.

Working with EasyFly for Safe and Intelligent Low-Altitude Mobility

Co-developed by CALB and EasyFly, the all-electric lightweight two-seater eVTOL EF7 is designed for low-altitude sightseeing, short-distance commuting, and flight training. It offers advantages such as extended endurance, enhanced safety, and user-friendly operation.

Moving forward, CALB will collaborate with partners across the low-altitude ecosystem to establish and adhere to a unified aviation-grade standard and certification system. By leading with safe, aviation-quality products and fostering win-win partnerships, CALB aims to accelerate the industrialization of the trillion-dollar low-altitude economy and unlock the boundless possibilities of low-altitude flight.
